"We're so very glad we made the move to Sandy Shores Resort. We can see the Gardiner Dam Spillway along with it’s turbines across the water out our front room windows. We finished our yard with sod, evergreens, flower beds and walk ways. The deck is suited up with glass panel railing. Our huge garage is great for any rainy days. We mainly finished and shined things up just in time to say to ourselves…'Hey we love it here so much, why don’t we live here full time?!'
So, now the plan is to sell this sweet spot and move to Phase 2. The lots began selling like a domino effect and we didn’t want to miss out. Our new lot is a bit bigger and somewhat closer to the water and by starting again, we can make room for all our winter stuff. We don’t see a lot of risk in owning the second lot, because it is likely more and more people will want to make memories here too.
I love how close this place is to Saskatoon and what a quick drive it is, and to be even closer to a couple different centres and have a restaurant right nearby. We’re enjoying meeting other families with little ones too and we look forward to meeting more people as things continue to grow. We have more biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, ice fishing, skating and skiing in our future!" -Heather E.
"It is our opinion that this development will be one of the best on lake Diefenbaker once it is completed because of it's location and the fact that we have a water treatment plant that provides potable water to each lot.
Water is a very important detail that often gets overlooked and can easily become a costly endeavour if you have to supply your own as some other areas are doing. As well the other amenities that are being developed and planned, like beaches, marina, parks/playgrounds and the possibility of a commercial outlet for supplies and services will just make this resort that much better and the most desirable. With that in mind we felt that if we were going to make a move to a lake front lot we had to now or the opportunity will soon disappear as people begin to realize what a great place this turning into and will become." - Gavin B.

"When my wife Carolyn and I were first made aware of the Sandy Shores Resort Development Plans we were immediately interested in pursuing this property. The fact that it was located on the much calmer Coteau Bay rather than the much larger Lake Diefenbaker appealed to us. We have felt for a long time that Lake Diefenbaker has been under developed as a recreation site in Saskatchewan.
We had a lot of reservations about getting into a project from the ground up. There are so many hoops to jump through and hurdles to jump. Could a project of this size be accomplished and could she be trusted to bring this all to fruition, especially when she was asking us to fork over money for the lot without any services or title? Our first meeting with Rauncie cleared away many of the reservations. First of all, she was a small town prairie person like we are and her friendly easy going nature drew us in to her trust right away. We could see that she didn’t have a wealth of experience in land development of this magnitude, but we also felt that she was easy to trust. She has good people around her to guide her through the difficulties that would inevitably arise, and there have already been a few glitches that she has taken in stride and dealt with them effectively.
